DESIGN PROCESS

Cauldron's overall layout was inspired by one of my favorite geometric shapes, the hexagon. After creating the structure in the center as a point of intersection, the rest of the map naturally created itself around it. I was also influenced by traditional circular flow arena maps like Haven, Construct and Zealot  from the Halo franchise. Even Quake's classic map, Arena of Death came to mind. 

UNREAL ENGINE 4

In addition to Halo 5 Forge, Cauldron was also built in Unreal Engine 4 for a fan made Halo game on the PC called Contingency.  The map is still a work in progress but images of the initial blockout can be seen below.

CONTINGENCY

Contingency is a fan made Halo game on the PC. It is still a work in progress and there is no release date scheduled as of yet.  All assets, mechanics and gametypes are designed from scratch.  For more information please visit our website below.
